What is Permaculture?

Permaculture is the conscious design and maintenance of agriculturally productive ecosystems which have the diversity, stability, and resilience of natural ecosystems. It is the harmonious integration of landscape and people — providing their food, energy, shelter, and other material and non-material needs in a sustainable way.

Greywater

Depending on where you live, you can legally use the grey water draining from your sinks, shower, and laundry and use plants and living soil to make best use of that water! Certain plants thrive on greywater, some edible! Pay particular attention to the kinds of soaps and detergents you use as sodium/bleach/many other chemicals will damage your garden and kill plants. Some brands, such as Oasis Laundry detergent, are grey water safe alternatives.
