We use our expertise in regenerative landscaping and permaculture design to offer landscape consultations as well as scaled landscape designs for homesteads, farms, and residential yards. Please see our portfolio for examples of our work. Please contact us for more information or for a quote.

We pay particular attention to the climate, USDA zone, and plant communities native to you.

With our creative and thoughtful design process, we can turn even a small landscape into one that captures water, recycles greywater, produces food, eggs, honey, medicine, and more and supports the local ecosystem! Using permaculture principles such as stacking functions, we weave together all the various functional elements in ways they relate to each other and work together for a long-lasting landscape with minimal maintenance required.

Our portfolio shows examples of our black/white designs as well as our color designs. We offer design packages ranging from one layer (overall design plan) to many-layered designs (access, earthworks, water systems, hardscapes, structures, plant layout, and so on). To make implementing a design easier, we can also provide a dimension layer to supplement the scaled plans. We can provide pdf copies of the designs as well as how to get them printed locally on larger paper if need be (so the scales read correctly, i.e. 1" on paper = 20' on the ground).

We are not your typical landscape designers. We care about your soil health and highly recommend getting soil samples from your land tested in order to determine ways to improve the soil health for growing the healthiest plants possible. We follow organic and regenerative practices. Though some of this sounds daunting, it is a rather simple process that anyone with a shovel can do.

Our designs can integrate the following elements and more:

Food Forests

Low Water and Native Plantings

Regenerative Agriculture

Compost and Soil-building Systems

Compost Teas and Biochar

Edible Gourmet Mushrooms

Pastured Poultry

Rainwater Harvesting and Ponds

Rain Gardens and Swales

Grey Water Systems

Medicinal and Culinary Herbs

Berry Production

Native Pollinator Habitat and Food

[Note: We are landscape designers rather than licensed landscape architects. We are happy to collaborate with a licensed landscape architect if that is necessary for your particular project. This is usually not necessary depending on the laws of your particular locale.]

Totally impressed with this company. They are great designers who care about creating a beautiful environment while respecting the ecology of our area. Our new backyard has CA natives and plants that are drought tolerant, edible, and medicinal...They go above and beyond..”
